Experience has shown Acton ADU similar renovation mistakes that homeowners make. We wanted to share this important article to help you avoid making these slip-ups yourself. We even identified a 9th renovation mistake to be avoided:
#9) Setting a Budget Management Plan Too Early in the Process—When considering a remodel, it is very difficult to determine all of the possibilities of your remodel within a target budget, in advance of having all of the right information. Estimates from professionals can vary widely.
Take the time to engage a complete team that will be accountable for all aspects of your project. Depending on the project, the team may include aspects of residential design, interior design, budgeting, construction, permitting, engineering, logistics, and even landscaping costs. Assembling this team before setting your budget, and making sure all the roles are well defined with clear accountability, will save time, money and endless frustration in the long run.
