We hired Acton Construction to expand our 1905 house to include an extra bathroom and laundry area. Acton presented a complete and detailed proposal with options and budget, allowing for a flexible array of choices as work proceeded. The work was accomplished as proposed, on time and within budget, and included design, permits, and historical review. The addition is perfectly matched to the original architecture while complying with current building codes. Workmanship was excellent. Especially impressive was the daily log of work accomplished and plans for the next day, kept on the job site for our review.

After meeting with several builders and ADU providers, including some really pushy ones, I went back to Acton ADU because they seemed the most honest and straightforward in terms of costs and what to expect. I just needed a small, private space of my own and to be close to my mom in case she needs assistance in the future. Acton ADU was professional, realistic, responsive, and my project was completed beautifully.

From design to delivery, Acton embodies quality and trust. We wanted a contractor that could deliver our vision and we could entrust our home to while our young family was still living in it. They built an attached ADU and new living area (in the main house). Even when faced with the wettest winter in years (2016) they protected our home and delivered the project on schedule. Acton has offered continued help to address minor follow items and stood by their two-year industry leading warranty. We would hire Acton for future ADU projects.

From beginning to the end, Acton was on top of their game! All of their sub contractor’s were really good and detail oriented. The entire Acton Team did a phenomenal job even through the crazy rains we had this year. We would use Acton again if we build again in the future!

Acton ADU built our beautiful garage/ADU – completed in March and rented in May. With Acton running the show, I didn't have to deal with any issues – they identified problems, took ownership as needed and fixed it. In picking Acton, I wanted a high quality ADU since I may decide to live in it sometime in the future. They took care of all the permits and inspections and made sure I was kept up to date at all times.
